This kind of safari will take you through the northern parks to the western parks in a 4×4 land cruiser of your choice from our fleet. You may choose between rent a car with driver or self drive. On arrival in Uganda, you will be meet by our driver/ guide who will then transfer you to your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight depending on your time of arrival.
Transfer to Murchison Falls national park with an enroute stop over at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will be able to track rhinos. you will enter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot. You will have the opportunity to watch these creatures moving freely in their territory. While there, you may get another opportunity of seeing a range of other wildlife, including Uganda Kobs, oribis, bushbucks or waterbucks. And of course, you may see many of the 300+ bird species that thrive here.
Continue to Murchison falls national park with the first opportunity to go at the top of the Falls a great memorable experience while here. The hike will take around 45 minutes. Enjoy spectacular views, experience the cooling sensation of the gentle spray and listen to the crashing of the water as you make your way to the top. From this vantage point, you will see the powerful, churning waters force through a narrow gorge before dropping to the depths below. Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning after break fast, explore over a 3 to 4-hour game drive giving you the opportunity to witness all kinds of animals in the park. The drive will mainly take you to the northern part of the park, which is dominated by open savannah grasslands, head for the Albert delta track, where many water birds, buffaloes, crocodiles, lions, and giraffes can be found. The Buligi Peninsula track is prime for game viewing animals such as elephants, buffalos, leopards, hippos, and giraffes looking for water.
A boat cruise is yet another activity you can not miss while in Murchison Falls national park. You are at liberty to choose since there are two boat cruises one going upstream and another one going downstream. The one which leads you down the Nile towards the shores of Lake Albert will take 4-5hours while the one going upstream takes 3hours. During these cruises, you are likely to spot birds, game, and crocodiles sunbathing on the side of the bank. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Transfer to kibale national park with an en route lunch in Masindi town. You will then arrive in Fort Portal, take a city tour in the evening visiting some of the markets like mpanga market then proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Early morning after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters with all the necessary documents for briefing before you start the search for chimpanzees. The rangers will also give a brief background of the forest and chimpanzees in general then in groups of not more than eight people, you will start the search for the chimps. It will take from 30mins to 3hours to find them and once get them, you will take one hour with them. You will watch them look for food, breastfeed, groom each other and mate. You may even witness fights between members of the group or larger males.
Take lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will start with a boat cruise at kazinga channel. The boat sets off every day at either 09.00 am local time or at 2:00pm in the afternoon – local time. This launch cruise may take anything from 2 – 5 hours to well explore the water and the wildlife along the shores of the Kazinga Channel. This cruise will give you the chance to see the biggest number of Hippos in the whole of Africa. Lodge for overnight and dinner.
Early in the morning after breakfast, take off to the ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions. This entire game drive will be targeting to see mainly the climbing lions up in the fig trees resting or targeting for the next meal. This is one of the best experiences you would ever think of in your entire life.
Transfer to Bwindi national park and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight. Wake up very early take breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. You present all the necessary documents including all the $800 gorilla permit to be able to access them. In groups of eight people, you head to the starting point to search for the gorillas.
You will be assigned a group depending on your level of fitness since it involves hiking. This will take 30min to even 8hours looking for the apes with a help of armed rangers who always have knowledge of where the gorillas slept the previous night. Once you spot them, you will take one hour with them learning their behaviours as well as taking photos of your choice. After the one hour, descend back to the headquarter to pick your trekking certificate then lunch at your lodge.
Go for the afternoon cultural tour in the Batwa community. The 5-hour Batwa Trail is usually led by the Batwa themselves and begins after the guide kneels down to beg the spirits to keep everyone safe during the journey through the forest. These guides will be able to show you how they used to hunt and the local medicine they used to take those days. Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Transfer to Kampala but if time is there you can visit lake Mburo national park endowed with several wildlife species to mention recently translocated giraffes, buffaloes, elands, waters bucks, antelopes, zebras, oribis, topis, warthogs as you take a boat cruise on lake Mburo you will be in position to observe, hippos and crocodiles as well as many bird species. On your way to Kampala, you will have a stopover at the equator. Here you will be able to take photos then after continue with your journey to Entebbe international airport for your flight back home making it the end of the safari.
