Des Roches
This is a wonderful private island, a great simple lodge with diving and water sports. Des Roches and Denis are very similarly priced and similar islands. The joy of these lodges is that within a 10 minute cycle ride you can find completely deserted beaches.

Fregate Island
Four degrees south of the equator, Frégate is a Seychelles Island of outstanding natural beauty; giant granite boulders rise from the powdery white sand of seven beaches, protected by granite barriers.
Fregate has 16 villas, restricting the number of guests’ to a maximum of 40 at any one time. The island remains exclusive to its guests – no day visitors are allowed – with each villa positioned to ensure ultimate privacy.
The villas are built of native mahogany and blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The tropical feel of the buildings is deliberately casual. Each villa has a large terrace with a day bed and Jacuzzi as an extension of the living area.
The light and spacious interior houses colonial-style furniture and state-of-the-art technology. In the evening, the Plantation House turns into a romantic restaurant serving traditional Creole dishes and island specialties.

L’Archipel
One of the better mid-range hotels on Praslin – it is a close call between L’Archipel and La Reserve. L’Archipel has a reasonable beach though is close to the famous beach at Anse Lazio.
Nice but simple rooms stretched over the extensive gardens and great food. The luxurious bungalows of the hotel nestle in the hillside overlooking a beautiful private beach called Anse Government.
All 23 rooms of the hotel are spacious (44 m2), with sea view, overhead fan and air-conditioning. All have a king size bed, direct line telephone, mini bar, tea and coffee making facility, safe, hairdryer, and satellite television.
The bathroom is equipped with shower, two wash hand basins and separate toilet. Some rooms are equipped with baths.
Located at the foot of the hillside, the new Senior Suites are more spacious and have improved facilities, whilst the elegant Executive Suites have an additional lounge, bathroom, Jacuzzi bath and veranda.
Situated directly by the ocean, the main restaurant offers an elegant, intimate ambiance, with all the dishes created by a young and talented Seychellois chef. Another memorable experience is the creole buffet, accompanied by a violinist.
Local fresh catch of the day includes threadfin, king snapper, red mullet, barracuda, Dorado, bonito, swordfish and bourgeois. The main hotel restaurant with its wonderful elevated position offers breakfasts and gourmet dinners.
Lemuria
This is a superb hotel. Recently built and bringing with it a very Mauritian feel this hotel is wonderful for honeymooners, families and golfers alike. The hotel’s private beach – Anse Georgette – is simply staggering and one of the best in the Seychelles.
The 88 Junior Suites, constructed in wood, marble, stone and pink granite are located amidst the tropical gardens, in lodges all sea facing the stunning Indian Ocean.
All suites are located within individual one floor bungalows and are well-equipped; the emphasis is on privacy, intimacy and harmony with the natural surroundings.
